The Canadian Movement Disorder Group
Group Objectives

    To support a network of Movement Disorder Clinics across Canada to provide the appropriate facilities to treat patients with  movement disorders, and to conduct clinical research trials in movement disorder  patients.

    To encourage and/or perform basic science research into the causes and treatment of movement disorders.

    To provide education to health care professionals during and after their training programs about movement disorders: their diagnosis and  management..

    To provide educational programs for patients, care  givers, the general public, and the media about movement disorders and their treatment.

    To assist in the formation of regional and national support  groups for patients with movement disorders.

    To use the CMDG's influence to ensure quality, ethical, and timely CME programs are available as required to educate Canadian physicians  regarding new advances in the treatment of movement disorders.
